Membership Party
YIP's Third Annual Membership Party and Awards Ceremony
This year's Membership Party was our most successful to date. We were honored to present the second annual YIP Awards to a group of truly exceptional Philadelphians.
Honored this year were:
- Civic Bulldog award: Brett Mandel and Philadelphia Forward
- Thomas Holme award: Pedro Ramos, Office of the Managing Director, City of Philadelphia
- Political Courage award: Zach Stalberg, Committee of Seventy
- Citizens' Voice award: Inga Saffron of the Philadelphia Inquirer
- The "Bennie" for innovative thinking: Ann Karlen, Buy Fresh Buy Local
- Member of the year: Scott Kober

Our members enjoyed the opportunity to meet the award recipients, mingle over snacks and drinks, and talk about how to make Philadelphia a better place. Through the party, we also raised funds that will go towards membership development and improved communications technology, both of which are crucial to YIP's goal of helping to create the next generation of Philadelphia leadership.
