Impact: Now in its sixth year, over 500 participants went through the program and more than 80 organizations have participated in the case study and board matching process.

Partnership: If your organization is seeking younger Philadelphians to serve on your boards, we invite you to sign up as a Board Prep partner organization, by being a case study or matching event partner. Shoot us a line at boardprep@yiphilly.org for additional information!

Matching Event Partner: If you would like to recruit new board members join us at this networking mixer to meet the graduates of the Board Prep class.

Admittance to the Board Prep Program is extremely competitive; well under half of applicants are admitted due to huge demand and limited class sizes. If you aren’t accepted after your first application, don’t give up! We reward persistence in our admission decisions. The course fee is $450 if your employer covers the tuition, and $250 if the individual pays. YIP offers limited, need-based scholarships and payment plans for accepted students.

Don’t just take our word for it, hear from some of our graduates:

“YiP’s BPP was a one-of-a-kind experience that provided me with critical and core competencies to more effectively serve the Philadelphia area in a holistic and engaging manner.
Graduating from BPP, I feel well-equipped with a robust lexicon, tangible skillset, and cohesive community of diverse, yet similarly-minded leaders and future philanthropists, all which will help assist me in actualizing my potential to serve as a stronger changemaker.”

“This was a tremendous program that provided me with an inside look into non-profit boards. I was impressed with the sessions and feel like I took a ton of informationaway from both the instructors and my fellow classmates.”
