State of Young Philly


SOYP is an annual event series held in the fall that brings together over 50 organizations and 1,000 young professionals, elected officials, and organizational leaders to examine the current state of young Philadelphia and to ask what we can all do to improve our beloved city.


7th Annual State of Young Philly
November 11-19, 2016

State of Young Philly is an annual week long event series hosted every fall by Young Involved Philadelphia. Each year SOYP brings together over 50 partner organizations, and 1,000 young professionals, elected officials, and organizational leaders to examine the current state of young Philadelphia and generate change in our beloved city. Join us as we work to engage, connect, and represent the millennial generation, helping young Philadelphians become better equipped to affect change in Philadelphia.
– Challah baking paired with learning about food insecurity and hunger in Philadelphia
– Getting the 411 on the how-to nominate a building for listing on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places
– Brainstorm creative ways to re-imagine vacant spaces
– Leadership and innovative opportunities for millennials in federal government
