Program Overview

YIP’s Board Prep Program is a leadership development program designed to prepare young professionals for non-profit board service. Applications for Spring 2025 will open early next year.

This comprehensive program is facilitated by Philadelphia-based experts who are well-versed in nonprofit board governance. During this intensive training program, we will introduce the key components of thoughtful, engaged, and dedicated board service. We will also hear from currently serving board members. At the end of the program, we will provide an opportunity for participants to connect with Greater Philadelphia area non-profit organizations seeking board members, committee members, and volunteers.

Young professionals seeking to learn more about non-profit board governance, join a non-profit board, or who already serve on a nonprofit board are all welcome to participate. Our Board Prep Program prepares young professionals for thoughtful, engaged, and dedicated board service.
